The new and improved RemoteWatch x10
RemoteWatch X10 has gone through a transformation and has many new features. RemoteWatch X10 is a web based software package that not only manages your X10 home automation setup and your RCS HVAC system, but now it can be configured to show you things such as an event based calendar,and your local weather information too. The new version of the software has been formatted to fit in a screen size of 800 x 480 for devices such as the Nokia internet tablets. The device can be configured to be used as a wall mounted home control and information display giving you a wealth of information and control right at your fingertips.RemoteWatch X10 is designed to run on your X10 home automation server. The software delivers the information through its web server, so you can configure your setup to be accessed wherever you have an internet connection.
The navigation menu and information screens
The software has a new navigation menu. The menu is designed with large buttons to be easily navigated on the internet tablet's touch screen.

File history: - 1.0.0 - Initial beta release
- 1.1.0 - Minor revision release
- Fixed the install sql file to automatically add the default objects to the database.
- Added user login capabilities and restricted menu items based on the logged in user.
- Added the ability to import .asx files other than the default MyHome.asx file.
- 1.1.1 - Minor addition release
- Changed the look of the way the information is displayed when hovering your mouse over an object.
- Added the ability to turn modules on and off.
- 1.2.0 - Full version release with new installer
- I did major work on the package to lighten it up. The software now uses an embedded web and MySql server that significantly reduces the size of the overall package.
- Added the ability to add additional module objects for when a module controls more than one device.
- Did some fixes on the HVAC code. The code was written around the RCS TR40 thermostat. This should work with the newer TR60 although this has not been confirmed. See the readme file for an explanation of how to get this working.
- 1.2.1 - Full version release.
- After using the embedded server in the previous release, I found that there were occasional crashes in the web server. The previous version used an embeded version of the Mongoose web server. In this release I have changed back to using the Apache web server. In my tests, it has proven to be more reliable.
- The new system uses a system tray menu for managing the software. The starting, stopping and modifying of many of the back end parts of the system are controlled here.
- I have also done some major updates on the HVAC code. I now have near full control of the TR40 thermostat. The only control that has not been integrated is the menu button and it's options. However, adjusting things like the set point temps and changing the modes of the system can now all be controlled from the web interface.

- Program fixes:
- Fixed the import of .ahx files other than the standard MyHome.ahx file.
- Fixed the remove floorplans section of the Add FLoor Plans page.
- Fixed some problems in adding floor plans.
- New Features:
- Added the ability to select a full screen view of the house status screen for tablet computer users.
- Added the option to select weather or not the bubble switches are used for turning modules on and off. If the bubbles are off, you will only need to click on the modules image icon to toggle it on or off.
- 1.2.3- Full version release.
- This version fixes a bug where after a fresh install and initially placing the objects, they revert back to original positions after clicking done.
For _upd releases, unpack the zip file to your wwebroot folder (www) in the wamp folder, then run the install file.
